A long time coming but I managed to finish and base four squads of Rebel Troopers. Sculpted by Bob Charrette, Julie Guthrie & Johnathan Woods. Lovely minis with a delicate touch on the fabric, very different from the Stormtroopers.

With my newly painted stormtroopers ready for action it was time to dust off the Star Wars Miniatures Battles rules. The last time these had seen action was in the mid nineties so a revision of the rules was in order.

Like most figure painters I did not relish the task of painting the trooper’s armour.

Perhaps no other sci-fi goon is as recognisable as the faceless minion of evil than the Imperial Stormtrooper. The elite of the Empire whose death’s head inspired helmet and stark white armour represent the cold faceless power of totalitarian rule.

The final batch of repaints from my GZG/Eureka range. This lot are from the Neu Swabian League Armoured Troops range. Great figures that would make excellent Stormtrooper proxies but as I already have 40+ WEG Stormtroopers I wanted to give these a different livery. In the end I went for a Boba Fett inspired unit of mandalorian mercenaries.
