I've recently acquired a copy of Piquet Band of Brothers and played through a few short actions. I highly recommend this set to anyone interested in Rennasiance wargaming.
Here's a selection of snapshots taken at some of the games I've played in over the past few years. Thanks to all those who have contributed to the fun.

Figures: 28mm, Old Glory, Vendel and Gripping Beast.
I finally got a chance to test out the Perfect Captain's Spanish Fury rules. I opted for an Irish setting, pitting hordes of Kern, Bonnacht and Gallowglasses against English Pike and Shot. Wonderful stuff.

Figures: 1/1200, Scratch Built. Rules: Warhammer Historical's Trafalgar.
I picked up a copy WH's Trafalgar rule set and gave it a spin. A great 'rum and ships biscuit' style of game. The wind based initiative is very clever, but I dislike the national flavours given to each fleet. I'd much rather have a base ship's cost with optional advantages and disadvantages available for purchase with some available only to certain nations. This would make setting up historical action much easier. Like all WH games, this is aimed at the tournament style of play.

Shako has to be one of my favourite rule sets. This was my first engagement with the newly released 2nd Edition.
