This lot are from the Neu Swabian League Armoured Troops range. Great figures that would make excellent Stormtrooper proxies but as I already have 40+ WEG Stormtroopers I wanted to give these a different livery. I felt that they would make either excellent Elite or Guard units for the Star Wars rebel troops, or generic civilian police forces. The blue and white uniform is purely imaginative but fits well with their chosen roles. I wanted to give them red berets and for the helmets a red tint on the visor so they became airborne troops. Every pulp universe needs these fall guys when the script writers are on strike and all you want is an evenings entertainment svaing the Earth without any complicated moral issues.&nbsp;</p> <p>This particular bunch come from Ground Zero Games. These are a really nice set, with the officier sporting a nifty trench coat. For their jackets I attempted a dark disruptive pattern camo or grey and sandstone over dark green. Gave them a cool hunter theme. With their knitted sweaters these reminded me some what of 70’s style infantry so I painted them in traditional olive drab and khaki.&nbsp;</p> <p>After many years of painting for mass wargames painting just a handful is a refreshing change. Stars. generic civilian types that can be used for a wide range of archetypes from the 7TV game.
